Herbert in touch with opinion
COVENTRY, April 2, 2008. The refurbished Herbert Museum and Art Gallery in Coventry is to install interactive touch screen survey stations powered by the Digivey Survey Software to gain immediate feedback on its exhibitions and events.
Coventry-based Research House UK is to put survey stations powered by the Digivey Survey software in the new-look Herbert in Jordan Well in the city centre when its ₤20 million refurbishment and extension is complete. The six interactive survey stations powered by Digivey Survey Software will give visitors the opportunity to immediately express their thoughts and reactions to the permanent and temporary exhibitions they have just seen or events, films, concerts or talks they have just attended.
Nitin Thakrar, Managing Director of the Coventry University Technology Park based Research House UK, the UK distributor of the innovative Digivey Survey Suite, said that the touch screen survey stations powered by Digivey survey software will enable visitors to easily complete surveys without having to find a pen and fill in a paper form. He added: "It will be easy to understand the questions since there are images, videos and sound embedded in the electronic survey questionnaire to help people provide feedback on what they have just experienced. The Digivey touch screen surveys are a much faster way of gathering visitor feedback. Getting statistics and auto-formatted reports is equally easy as the responses provided by the visitors are compiled automatically. This paperless gathering of respondents' opinions not only is eco-friendly through its paperless data collection process, at the same time it cuts down on staff workload and overall visitor feedback costs through automation and streamlined processes."
Rosie Addenbrooke, Senior Exhibitions Officer at The Herbert, said "Market research is vital in deciding the content of future exhibitions. Digivey will allow our visitors to tell us straight away their views on The Herbert, which is important because we want to provide the kind of service that people of all ages want. We are committed to providing a venue which has a wide-reaching programme of exhibitions and events that appeal to everyone. Moreover, the Digivey survey system will enable us to review and update our facilities and services based on regular consultation."
